Capacity Building in Complexity Science Information Day

I’m off to network with professors of complexity over a finger lunch at 12ish – all in the cause of furthering the cause of complexity science in the UK. Figure that how you to do the job is important, and that having an information system fit to the complex purpose would be of interest, so I shall see how that notion carries. All organised by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council which have in-depth plans in this area.

(Attached is a one pager I did for a conference back in 2000 on complexity and technology which tried to distill my ideas at that time. At the presentation I cited the ‘for want of a nail..’ story to drive the point home on a metaphoric level. Btw there’s also a dry re-working of the ‘for want of a nail’ quote from Benjamin Franklin.)
