Mile High Penguins are Moving Up!

News just in from the MHP’s..note the gig on 21 Sept:

firstly we shall enter the studio for the first time next week to record our debut E.P.

plus we have a gig on thursday right after the final day of recording.

the gig is at The Standard in Walthamstow. so no excuses.

so thats the Standard Walthamstow Thursday 21st September.

plus 2 thirds of the ban are moving into a mass house in leytonstone next friday feel free to show us love and turn up to our party….message us for details if you wanna come the more the merrier.

and good ol Shouty Penguin himself Deany Boy will be departing the safe area of Hainault to go to Uni in Ealing next Saturday….God Bless you Dean and Good Luck at Uni. You rock Dean!

So thats it the penguin report is complete…..come to the gig. possibly the party too…..

Roots & Samba podcast

Another in the podcast series from DJ Gilles Peterson in Brazil. While these are available free from Brahma to save you the time and trouble here’s the one on Roots and Samba. It’s an wma around 30mb so it takes a while to download – enojy!

The download function from the site doesn’t work at present, so I had to open in Windows Media Play and save from there. I did contact Brahma’s new Belgium owners to point this out, but no reply not surprisingly. However, it’s odd that the blog which supports the podcasts starts and stops after only a few entries, go figure!
