Amazon Context links

Trying out Amazon’s (beta) Context Links on this site. Any comments, please let me know:

“Context Links are a quick and convenient way to add links to your website and monetize your content.

“After you embed one simple piece of code on your pages, Context Links automatically identify and link relevant phrases within your page content to Amazon products, unlocking new ad inventory and saving you the time from having to manually create links. You can add the links to your pages in minutes, and we provide a wealth of options to customize how they are displayed.”

Open access publishing twists & turns

Useful article on the front page of Information World Review (‘Open access is branded ‘junk science’ by US lobby’) on efforts to discredit open access publishing in the US. Shame when you use the search term ‘open access’ on the IWR website that no results are returned. I must be doing something wrong.

Also worth looking at the IWR piece on the views of UK scientist Peter Murray-Rust, which I found without the need for a search engine.
