It’s an under-reported fact that some things when published actually diminish their meaning, rather than enhance it. But hopefully not this post.

Good on Technorati for bothering to seek out and destroy the bug in their search system:
“We fixed a bug, link counts increased: Over the past weeks we’ve done some digging around in the depths of the search system. The other day, we found and fixed a persistent bug.
“As a result, nearly everyone’s link counts will increase, as will authority figures. These new figures are more accurate. If you see any more cases of links that we don’t seem to be finding, please let us know!”
