The Verve’s ‘Bittersweet Symphony’ video from ‘Urban Hymns’ is set in Hoxton market circa 1997 I guess. At around 3.5 minutes Martin Howse walks in to the frame. Just round the corner is Trevor’s pad. I was living just up the road in De Beauvoir Road. So you could say this is the nearest I got (once removed) to being cool.

Stopping slamming

  • Guy on a train walks down the carriage and opens the door to the next one. I guess he’s going to enjoy slamming the door behind him so I get up and go to close the door. He also holds the door handle at the same time. I guess I was right, and I succeed in stopping the slam.
  • Guy is in the gym changing says about all the places, Jordan, Hong Kong, etc he goes to work on fitting out clubs. Says he’s off home, to his PlayStation.
  • I jumb in the tube train jamming the door with both feet and get in.
  • Cansei de Ser Sexy (Portuguese for I’m Tired of Being Sexy). Check out their track ‘Meeting Paris Hilton‘.
